Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.


Author Guidelines

1. All articles are published in English. Submission of an article implies that the work has not been published or considered for publication elsewhere.
2. Submission of an article implies that its publication has been approved by all co-authors. The publisher will not be held legally responsible should there be any claims for compensation.
3. Authors wishing to include figures, tables, or text passages that have already been published elsewhere are required to obtain permission from the copyright owner(s) for both the print and online format.
4. Names of authors should NOT appear in the text. Attach a separate cover page that includes the title of the paper, title and affiliation of each author with postal and e-mail addresses, and clearly indicate the corresponding author. Biographical notes, approximately 50 words per author, should be placed on the bottom of the cover page.
5. Title of the paper must be kept within two Lines.
6. With each copy, include an abstract not exceeding 200 words. The abstract should provide a brief overview of the paper. Abstract should be followed by up to five Key words.
7. Manuscripts should not exceed 8000 words including tables, graphs, figures, and references.
8. Tables, graphs, and figures should be labeled in numerical order with Arabic numeral.
9. Place references in an alphabetical order at the end of the text. References should be made only if they are cited in the text; and to works that are published, accepted for publication, or available through libraries or institutions.
10. Cite references in the text by citing the authors' names and the year of publication in parentheses; use APA (American Psychological Association) style for referencing.
11. Electronic submissions via the online system or email to are required. Prospective authors of accepted articles must provide electronic version of the accepted articles in MS Word.
12. There are no charges for any publication fees.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Copyright Notice

An author submitting a paper agrees to license KM&EL to publish the paper if and when the manuscript is accepted. Papers published in KM&EL are protected by copyright, which is retained by the authors. Authors control translation and reproduction rights to their works published in KM&EL.

Permission of the author must be secured if a paper originally published in KM&EL is being considered for reprinting or translation. Authors are expected to ensure that any reprinting or translation contains a reference or pointer to the original paper published in KM&EL.

Authors submitting papers to KM&EL do so with the understanding that with Internet publishing authors and publishers do not always have the means to prevent unauthorized copying or editing of copyrighted works.

As KM&EL is of open access, the articles are allowed for free use with citation of the source (please see the Creative Commons Attribution License at the bottom of the page
